NLP for Project Professionals

NLP is the study of how people organise their thinking, feeling, language and behaviour to create results. It offers powerful and leading edge techniques for developing excellence in communication, increasing productivity and understanding of what makes people 'tick'.

The course is structured around the following 4 topic areas:

• Raising self awareness       
  Our thoughts and behaviours influence our results, our productivity and our communications. To be successful and to best position ourselves for effective personal and professional development, we first need to raise our levels of self awareness.

  This topic will enable you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and learn to apply the principles of NLP to make the most of your abilities.
  
  
• Developing a climate of trust
  The potential of teams is enormously magnified where there is a climate of trust. This topic offers the skills needed to build rapport, and connect and engage with others to create trusting relationships and avoid the conflicts that can result from working with different personalities and wide ranging ‘agendas’.
  
  
• Communicating with others
  Communication is only effective where the message is fully understood. This topic gives you the tools and strategies needed to plan communications and pitch messages at the right level, ensuring a shared understanding amongst the project team and stakeholders. Approaches for managing potential conflicts and giving and receiving feedback are also covered.
  
  
• Applying the techniques through the project lifecycle
  NLP techniques are relevant and beneficial at every stage of the project lifecycle. This topic illustrates how NLP methods are best used to initiate change, set compelling goals, and then maintain the momentum that is needed to achieve them. It also covers approaches for coaching, developing the team, and incorporating lessons learned along the way in a blame-free environment.
  
  

The course is run in 2 modules, of 2 days each, a few weeks apart. This is to give you time to reflect on what you have learnt and practise the techniques. The course is highly interactive and experiential, with the focus being on 'real world' application.

Prerequisites
No previous knowledge of NLP is required.
