What the course covers

The Agile Project Management certification takes the principles of the DSDM Agile Project Framework and shows how these can be applied to achieve an ideal balance between the standards, rigour and visibility needed for good project management, and the fast pace, change and empowerment provided by Agile.

You will learn about a wide range of tools and methods, and gain fresh skills and a new-found confidence to manage projects and collaborate successfully in an agile way. The course also shows how Agile techniques can be integrated with PRINCE2® and SCRUM. The AgilePM Handbook v2 provides the basis for this qualification.

Timings* for open course:

AgilePM Foundation Level (1.5 days)

  • Day 1: 9.00am – 5.00pm
  • Day 2: 9.00am – 10.30am (including 40 minutes Foundation Exam)

AgilePM Practitioner Level (2.5 days)

  • Day 2: 10.30am – 5.00pm
  • Day 3: 9.00am – 5.00pm
  • Day 4: 9.00am – 5.00pm (including 2.5 hours Practitioner Exam)

Gaining the qualification

Agile Project Management Foundation level exam

  • Tests knowledge and understanding
  • Takes place on morning of second day
  • Multiple-choice format and closed book
  • 40 minutes duration, with 50 questions
  • Pass mark 50%

You need to have achieved the Foundation level certification to go on to the Practitioner level.

Agile Project Management Practitioner level exam

  • Tests application of theory to a given scenario
  • Takes place on morning of fourth day
  • Multiple-choice format and open book
  • 2.5 hours duration, with 80 questions
  • Pass mark 50%

AgilePM in-company classroom courses

AgilePM focuses first and foremost on identifying value to your business, and delivering it faster.

AgilePM in-company webinar courses

This qualification provides a practical understanding of how to apply AgilePM to different types of projects and integrate Agile ways of working with other project management methodologies across the organisation.

Webinar training is a time efficient and cost effective way to benefit from high quality training, from the convenience of your home, office or any other location. This is a great way for teams spread across different locations to train together, without the overhead of travel costs.

You can elect to run the complete course via webinars or choose a blended option combining webinars and onsite training.

Webinar course structure:

  • 6 live 3 hour webinars
  • Webinars are fully interactive, with group discussions and activities
  • Covers the full course syllabus plus exam preparation
  • Webinar recordings are available to everyone on the course
  • Access to our online learning platform offers networking and collaboration facilities and access to all course materials

You can take your exams via the ProctorU online exam body at a time that suits you. You will need high speed internet access, and a webcam to enable invigilation.
