About the Facilitation course

Facilitation is at the core of everything we do that involves other people. Effective facilitation enables a smoother process for interactions leading to quality decisions, greater buy-in and commitment.

This Facilitation skills Foundation and Practitioner level certification helps embed new skills in a structured way.  Individuals taking the course will learn the skills needed to become an effective facilitator, capable of stepping into a wide variety of situations.

They will learn a broad range of practical tools and techniques, which can help groups to handle uncertainty, solve problems and develop answers to key questions.

Facilitation Foundation level exam

Multiple-choice format and closed book
40 minutes duration, with 50 questions
Pass mark 50%
Takes place on afternoon of third day

You need to have achieved the Foundation level certification to
go on to the Practitioner level.

Facilitation Practitioner level exam

Multiple-choice format and open book
2.5 hours duration, with 80 questions
Pass mark 50%
Takes place on afternoon of fifth day
